On December 29, 2018\nHP, Michael Scholtz, Michael Schmelzer and Werner met at 10 a.m. to\nupdate the new L4A server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our goal was to\ntransfer the new L4A clients (software version Ubuntu 18.04) to the\nserver and to set up a new mirror for the 18.04 clients. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First we set up a\nnew client with Michael’s start disk and made the necessary settings\nfor Nairobi. The two Michaels then tested the client thouroughly\nagain. The disk content was then transferred to the new L4A server.\nIn the run-up we had started to configure and set up the new mirror.\nAfter various ambiguities had been resolved and the configuration had\nbeen adjusted again, the download could begin. Since the VHS March\nhas only a 16000 Internet connection, the mirror download was\naborted. Werner has a faster internet connection at home and will\nfinish the download there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally, the last\nsettings for the client were made on the server and a final\ninstallation was carried out. Around 3:30 p.m. we packed everything\ntogether and went home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As there were still\nsome minor problems with the server and the client, Michael and\nWerner met again in the week before their departure to fix them. The\nmirror proved to be somewhat stubborn, though. But Michael wanted to\nsolve this problem in Kenya.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
